After a very hectic and stress intensive week it’s nice to be able to get away to the country and just do fuck all except be lazy and eat chocolate (or steal it from Mitch’s Easter stash as it were). I love you to bits ya dork, even when you can be an annoying little twat - but you make me smile and I can act like a complete weirdo around you and get away with it. As it should be. Keep being strange dork, love ya.
Casually wearing a suit to Uni.
Because why not?
So without sounding creepy (which is essentially impossible but it’s worth a shot), I’m going on a Europe tour next year from around mid-January to mid February and really want to go to London for a week after the tour is over. So I was wondering if; a) does anybody know of some very cheap places that are around to stay for that time, or, b) willing to make an awesome Australian friend if you live in or around London and let me crash on your floor for probably four days. xD
So tonight I stopped by an all night gaming place and there was this 6 year old with her dad playing minecraft who was buiilding this giant complex fairy palace and it really intimidated me because i cant even build a 4 by 4 house properly let alone a castle itS JUST NOT FAIR.
And the title of “Best Present EVER” goes to my friend Dale who gave me the Hyrule Historia as a late birthday present.

After hours upon hours of time I should have spent composing my own work I decided to have a crack at transcribing and arranging one of my favourite scores from one of my favourite composers - John Powell, of which all rights belong to him. I’M WRITING THE MUSIC FOR AN ORIGINAL MUSIC THIS YEAR. I got asked by one of the theatre companies at University so expect updates later this year about how stressful it is and whatnot… haha.

So the other night Mitch took me to the opera to see Aida for my birthday. It was the most amazing night ever despite having been viciously beaten to a pulp several hours before after going to paintball with him and a bunch of mates. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have someone so amazing… love you twat face dork.

‘Slaughterhouse’ is my hybird creation of both horror and trailer music using heavy brass dissonance and timpani to create a sense of unease along with my Violin which I multilayered along with use of some Glissando VST’s. This piece was my University project as of the 24th of April influenced by the works of Two Steps From Hell, James Newton Howard and Christopher Young. MUSIC CROWD SOURCING
If anyone plays Cello, Viola and or Violin I could really do with your help; would you be able to record for me you playing col legno and spiccato on the notes of C, C#, D and D# starting off slow and then getting more faster and frantic (as in just hammering the back part of the bow on the strings and sort of let it bounce around)? If you could would you please upload the sound file and send me a link to download it - I am currently finishing off a composition for Uni and I don’t exactly have an orchestra on hand, so even if three people did this I’d be forever grateful and will feed you cookies. THANKS.
